A Mother’s Love: A Mother’s Day Tribute from Jason Edington, REALTOR®
This Mother’s Day, I’m sharing a piece of my heart—and the story of the woman who taught me what “home” truly means.

My mom’s final resting place—her name etched in stone, but her love forever engraved in our hearts.
Losing Her Twice: Dementia and Grief
On December 24, 2021, I said goodbye to my mother for the second time. The first farewell came when dementia took her from us—an illness that deepened after Dad passed away on May 21, 2020. In those final months, I watched the woman who had given so much to our family gradually lose the spark that made her who she was.
A Working Mother of Four Boys
Mom was the backbone of our home. As one of four sons, I witnessed her juggle countless jobs—from hotel house keeping manager to vet assistant—to make sure we never went without. She rose before dawn, Bible in hand, ready to face whatever challenges the day would bring.
-
Family-First Faith: A devoted Christian, she taught us gratitude through Sunday services and consistent prayers.
-
Unwavering Sacrifice: No matter how tired she was, she made time to cheer at Little League games, be the chauffeur driver to and from every practice, or lend an ear when life got tough.
Lessons That Shape My Real Estate Career
Every day, I draw on those lessons to serve my clients:
-
Putting People First: Just as Mom put her boys above all else, I treat every client relationship with the same care and respect.
-
Building Community: She showed me that a home is more than walls and a roof—it’s a place where faith and family grow. That’s why I’m passionate about helping families find their perfect corner of Arkansas.
-
Resilience & Adaptability: From one job to the next, Mom faced change head-on. In today’s market, adaptability is key, and I work tirelessly to guide buyers and sellers through every twist and turn.
Why We Celebrate Mother’s Day
Mother’s Day isn’t just about flowers or brunch—it’s about honoring the daily acts of love that shape us. Whether your mom is near or you’re remembering her from afar, take a moment to reflect on:
-
The sacrifices she made.
-
The lessons she taught.
-
The faith and strength she modeled.
A Personal Invitation
